Students in grades 8-12 had a wonderful opportunity to attend a careers tour at Brightwater Culinary School and enjoy a behind-the-scenes visit at Rick’s Bakery. Students learned about culinary training, baking techniques, and the many career pathways within the food and hospitality industry.

A special thank you to Rick’s Bakery for the warm welcome and for generously providing fresh cookies and donuts for our students. We truly appreciate the time and care they took to make this experience both educational and memorable.

Our first of two informational meetings is tonight at the Winslow Community Center! We hope to see you there at 6:00!

The Greenland School District Board of Education is requesting a 2 mill increase to fund renovation targets and support community growth.

Over the past several years, we’ve worked within our current rates, grants, and funding to modernize our buildings by adding new plumbing, flooring, electrical, and safety features. There are still many areas of need which max out our budget. Our renovation targets can be viewed in more detail on the millage page and we encourage you to look closely at patron cost. Certain pots of money can only be used for certain things so if you have questions about spending, please ask!

We want you to have factual information as you consider supporting our students, our community, and our future. If you have questions or feedback, please visit our millage page, attend a community meeting, or come by for a tour! We’d love to walk and talk!
